Author Karen McCombie to visit

Jesus said, ‘I am the Good Shepherd… I know my sheep and my sheep know me.’ John 10.14

Karen McCombie, children’s author, will be visiting us in school on Tuesday 26th April. Karen will talk to the children about how she became an author, the books she has written, and where she finds inspiration for her work. There will also be workshops during the day for Class 2 and Class 3. Karen has been described by Waterstones as “One of children’s fiction’s most accomplished authors” and has published over 80 titles.

Karen’s visit will come just a few days ahead of our special reading event for parents, and you can find out more about that by following this link.

Supporting Karen’s visit will be independent bookseller Elaine Penrose, who will have a selection of Karen’s books for sale on the day (and for a short time after the event) and you can also pre-order books to collect when Karen is with us. Elaine is offering the books at a special reduced price (£6, when the books normally retail at £6.99). To pre-order, please download the order form and return it to school.
