Class 2's English curriculum can also be downloaded here. Once again, this is a guide to aid our planning and can also change when necessary.

Homework

Homework is an essential part of learning. It gives children the opportunity to practise and refine skills that they have learnt in school. It is vital that homework is completed. We would ask that you continue to support your child, and encourage them to ask for help or clarification from teaching staff if needed.

Homework is set once a week on a Friday  and is due in on the following Thursday.

Spellings are sent home once a week on a Friday (in homework books) and are tested on the following Friday.

Children will be expected to practice their times tables at home in any way they please. We have signed up to TT Rockstars, which the children can log into and practice online. there is both a web version and an app for this.

Here is the web link for those who need it: https://play.ttrockstars.com/

It is also important that your child reads daily at home for at least 10 minutes.
