Curriculum Booklets

You can download Class 2's Curriculum Booklet here.

You can also download the Maths overview sheets for Years 3 and 4. Please note, these are subject to change as and when the need arises.

Class 2's English curriculum can also be downloaded here. Once again, this is a guide to aid our planning and can also change when necessary.

Homework

Homework is an essential part of learning. It gives children the opportunity to practise and refine skills that they have learnt in school. It is vital that homework is completed. We would ask that you continue to support your child, and encourage them to ask for help or clarification from teaching staff if needed.

Homework will be set once a week on a Friday and it is due in on the following Wednesday. This will then be marked and sent home so you can see your child’s progress. Please come and see me on either of the two days before the due date if you have any questions or concerns.

A list of spellings will be sent home once a week on a Tuesday which will be tested on the following Monday.

Children will be told which times tables they are working on and these will be tested on a Thursday. Copies of the times tables tests we use can be downloaded here.

It is important that your child reads daily at home for at least 10 minutes. Please record what has been read and write a brief comment about your child’s reading in your child’s reading record each day. Reading records must be brought into school every day.
